Institute of Islamic Education

معهد التربية الاسلامية

Dedicated to fostering a rich learning environment rooted in Islamic principles. We strive for excellence in education, character development, and community service.

About Our Institute

The IIE is a non-profit institute committed to providing Islamic research, training, and solutions. Our primary objective is to assist individuals in acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the Quran and Sunnah, adhering to the methodology of the pious predecessors (Salaf-Us-Saaliheen).
Our mission is to invite humanity to the exclusive worship of Allah (Tawheed) and to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Our institutional framework is grounded in the principles of Ahlus Sunnah Wa Al Jamaah. This foundational methodology is rooted in the authentic interpretation of the Quran and Sunnah, as understood by the pious predecessors, and is supported by the divine guidance found in Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 100.

Overview

Borrowing supports both in‑person pickup and parcel service across Jammu & Kashmir. Each book helps a different reader—please return on time so the next person can benefit.

Process Steps
  1. 1

Search & Choose: Locate a title and verify availability.

  2. 2

Submit Request: Provide name, phone, address (district + PIN). Accept parcel charge & return rules.

  3. 3

Review & Dispatch / Pickup: Librarian approves, then either prepares parcel or schedules pickup.

  4. 4

Loan Period Starts: Parcel loans: time begins at dispatch. In‑person: time begins at checkout.

  5. 5

Return / Renewal: Return within 27 days or request renewal (if allowed) at least 3 days before due.

Loan Terms
  • Duration: 27 days (parcel & pickup)
  • Grace: 0–2 days (no fee, still return)
  • Renewal: 1 optional cycle (if no existing reservation)
  • Start Point: Dispatch timestamp / checkout timestamp
Limits
  • Concurrent Parcel: 2 max
  • Concurrent In‑Person: 3 max
  • Pending Reservations: 4 max
  • High Demand Titles: 1 copy per user
Fees & Policies
  • Parcel Charge: Actual courier or postal fee paid by borrower.
  • Late Return: After grace → daily caution flag; repeated late may suspend borrowing for 30 days.
  • Lost / Severe Damage: Provide identical or latest edition replacement OR pay assessed value.
  • Minor Wear: Normal handling accepted; avoid folding corners / ink marking.
Care & Handling

Keep books dry, away from heat and pets. Use a removable paper bookmark (no adhesive). Report any pre‑existing damage within 24 hours of receipt to avoid responsibility.

Reservation vs Loan
  • Reservation: Holds a copy for short pickup window (expires if not checked out).
  • Loan: Active possession period; counts toward limits.
  • Upgrade: Reservation → loan on checkout / dispatch.
  • Expiry: Unclaimed reservations auto-cancel after defined window.
Tracking & Updates

Parcel dispatch triggers a notification (SMS / email). If a tracking ID exists, it will appear in the confirmation message. Otherwise you receive expected arrival range. Contact support if parcel is late by >3 days beyond window.

Quick FAQ
Can I renew a book?

Yes—request at least 3 days before due if no active reservation exists.

What if my parcel is delayed?

Contact support after 3 days beyond estimated arrival; late transit time does not reduce your allowed reading period.

How do I cancel a reservation?

Use the catalog reservation management or contact a librarian; cancelled slots release the copy immediately.

What if I lose a book?

Report promptly. Supply a replacement copy or pay the assessed value so the title stays in circulation.
